Pink Saturday 11/19/11 NYC Trip/Blessings

My friend Mary drove up from Cape May, NJ
We hopped on the train for Penn Station with our sights set on our destination....
Laduree from Paris brought its pastel macarons to New York City's Upper East Side
...and we had to check it out.

The window was so beautiful
We were like little children with visions of macarons dancing in our heads

We each purchased our little pink boxes of macarons.....and they did not disappoint.
These little pastel delights were pure bliss.
You had to close your eyes when you tasted them....that good.

Here is my box...empty of course.

We walked a few blocks before catching a taxi & enjoyed a little bit of central park.

We were celebrating Mary's upcoming birthday.
We had lunch at an Irish Pub, dining on Shepard's Pie...
with carrot cake & tea for dessert
Then we enjoyed Billy Elliot on Broadway

What a day!
We headed for home exhausted but smiling.
I am so blessed with sweet friends & my beautiful family

Be sure to visit How Sweet the Sound for more Pink Saturday fun with our hostess Beverly.

Thanksgiving blessings to all.....
xo Tami

Tami, Happy Pink Saturday
Oh what a divine post, I was with you and your friend in spirit as I read your post. How I would love a nibble on this confection as I have read so much about them.
Unfortunately I cannot see the day that there will ever be a store in Scotland. Maybe I need to hop on a train to Paris, the perfect excuse lol.

Thank you, Tami, for taking us on that fun jaunt with you. It sounds like you had a lot of fun and good things to eat. In fact you've made me hungry thinking of goodies and shepherd's pie. I guess my cup of hot cocoa will have to suffice for now...COL.

Thank you for visiting, and have a very pinkish Saturday,
Marianne

You have the best photo of the shop that I have seen so far on anyone's blog--no glare.Did they allow photos inside?(in Paris not allowed) What a fun day you had. I wish I could go to NY soon but I enjoyed my visit via your blog.

Oh what a wonderful share today. I loved riding along to NYC. I can just hear the wheels of the train as we rode along.

I love the store window of Laduree's macaroons. Your little box is exquisite. How fun to have this box of the day you and your friend made so many memories to tuck inside. (Your train ticket, you receipt from the Irish pub and even your ticket stub from Billy Elliot on Broadway. What a wonderful day of memories.

Thank you for sharing sweet friend. Have a glorious weekend. Country hugs and much love, Sherry
